One hour driving from Barcelona, Girona has a beautiful historic Medieval Quarter easy to see on food, romantic churches, the Cathedral which the widest single nave in the world, unique museums, the iron bridge by Gustave Eiffel, the coulourful houses on the river Onyar, a selection of traditional restaurants and good shopping.
You can enjoy its distinctive architecture along the river Onyar and learn about the Jewish past on the Museum of the Jewish History, the Bonastruc Sa Porta.
